RAM is pleased to announce that Jason Arneson has joined our organization as a Senior Consultant and Lead for the Safety Management Services Team. In this role, Jason will support a team in the delivery of safety advisory services, provide leadership to our consulting team, and contribute to the continued advancement of RAM’s consulting safety practice.

“Jason is widely recognized as one of Canada’s most progressive and respected OHS leaders, and we are proud to welcome him to RAM. His expertise in multi-industry safety systems, paired with his commitment to mental wellness and operational learning, directly strengthens our ability to support clients with the highest standards of safety excellence. Jason will play a key role in advancing our Safety Management practice and supporting our mission to embed quality and safety into every project we deliver.” — Fernando De Melo, CHSC, Principal, Safety Management, RAM

Jason is a leader in Occupational Health and Safety, with over 28 years of experience leading programs across multiple industry sectors, including heavy industrial, construction, transportation, military, mining, marine, manufacturing, natural energy, agricultural, and the food industry. He specializes in implementing resilient, enterprise-wide safety systems that reduce risk, and he is committed to strengthening health, safety, and well-being for employees, the communities we work in, and the environment.

Jason has earned several awards for his advocacy efforts around mental wellness in Canada’s construction, mining, and manufacturing industries. Most recently, he was recognized by the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) as Canada’s Champion of Mental Health in Industry (2024). In 2019, he received the Award of Excellence in Health & Safety Canada, and in 2018, he was named the Canadian “Most Qualified” to interpret the Act and Regulations from the Alberta Workers’ Compensation Board.

In his previous role as OHS Director at Sunrise Farms, Jason oversaw 27 direct and indirect reports, representing approximately 3,700 personnel across Canada. His leadership was the catalyst for the OHS program’s maturity in multi-provincial jurisdictions, increasing engagement from 5 to 42 business units and dissolving formerly siloed approaches. Jason also previously served as Health & Safety Manager at Seaspan, where he spearheaded a team tasked with closing investigations and strengthening safety practices at the Vancouver Drydock.

Backed by his deep expertise in communications, controls, analysis, and stakeholder engagement, Jason offers a results-driven approach tailored to meet the highest standards and leads by example to encourage a positive safety culture. His aptitudes and experience make him a valuable addition to the Safety Management Team, where he will contribute to RAM’s efforts to ingrain a culture of quality and safety in all aspects of our work.
