SaskPower Invests $9M in Downtown Regina Electrical System Improvements

In 2026, SaskPower will invest $9 million to upgrade downtown Regina’s electrical system. These upgrades are part of a multi-year program to improve reliability and increase capacity in the area.

From May through October, crews will be at work replacing electrical equipment that has reached or is nearing the end of its life, including underground cables and duct banks.

“During the past five years, SaskPower has invested nearly $50 million in system improvements in downtown Regina,” said Rupen Pandya, SaskPower President and CEO. “This work will help to ensure business and residential customers in the heart of our province’s capital and second-largest city will have the power they need when they need it for years to come.”
