The Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) is proud to launch a new conference series this spring. Each CanREA Summit will be unique, offering a deep, focused and specialized dive into topics relevant to a particular region of Canada, such as energy storage in Alberta, achieving carbon neutrality in Quebec and financing the development of renewable energy across Canada.
Alberta is designing a Restructured Energy Market and energy storage will play a big role. For Alberta’s energy storage players, this means new and exciting opportunities are emerging.

Attendees will hear directly from our keynote speaker, Alberta’s Minister of Affordability and Utilities Nathan Neudorf, as well as from AESO decision makers, CanREA’s policy team, and many more expert speakers who have been deeply involved in energy storage globally, as well as in the ongoing dialogue on Alberta’s policy and market reforms.
The conference program will provide clarity and direction on the expected market changes in Alberta, and what it means for energy storage. Learn how energy storage will play a critical role in Alberta’s clean, affordable and reliable energy future, become aware of the risks and opportunities associated with the proposed Restructured Energy Market (RES), and understand the transmission costs for operating in Alberta.
