On Oct. 20, at 4:00 p.m., solar experts Mark Gies, director of product management and strategy for solar applications and Brandon Kilpatrick, Canadian national director of sales at S-5! will present, The Rising Cost of Solar: Why Direct-Attach Mounting Makes Financial Sense Now More Than Ever. The session will examine how rising costs are influencing solar project decisions and why direct-attach mounting on metal roofs is gaining renewed attention as a practical way to reduce total installed cost without sacrificing long-term performance.
Attendees will learn how direct-attach solar mounting eliminates rails, reduces component count, simplifies installation and eases logistics and on-site handling. With fewer parts to ship, stage and assemble, these systems can help lower system costs while improving efficiency in the field.
The session will also look beyond initial costs to the long-term value of treating the metal roof and solar array as a single integrated asset, including how mounting decisions can affect constructability, service life, lifecycle value and the economics of future reroofing or system replacement.
