EDA have released the Call for Papers for the EDIST Conference & Trade show on January 18-21, 2027 at the Westin Harbour Castle Conference Centre in Toronto.
EDA invites submission papers that demonstrate practical solutions, real-world applications, and the innovations driving sustainable growth in electricity distribution.

As the distribution-sector faces unprecedented growth, increasing demand, and rapid technological change, utilities are moving beyond planning and turning bold ideas into action. EDIST 2027, themed Powering Growth: From Vision to Execution, brings together utility leaders, innovators, and industry partners to explore the strategies, technologies, and partnerships driving the future of our sector.

Submission Process:
1. Complete the online submission form (You’ll need to create a free EDA profile if you don’t have one.)
2. Choose your session track:
- Engineering
- IT & AI
- Operations
- Regulatory, Policy & Sustainability (EXPANDED)
- Utility Economics & Strategy (NEW)
3. Submit your abstract and learning objectives
Preference will be given to proposals that include a Local Distribution Company (LDC) co-presenter.
The EDIST Committee reviews all submissions based on clarity of objectives, originality, use of supporting data, and relevance to the program.
