Milwaukee Tool Introduces New Side Load Ground Rod Driver Solutions

Milwaukee Tool introduces the new SDS Max Side Load Ground Rod Driver, delivering enhanced safety and maintaining rod integrity when driving ground rods. This driver eliminates overhead and ladder use by allowing users to load the ground rod from the side with an offset design. This ground rod driver still ensures full depth driving with a top load cup that drives the ground rod down to the finished depth. The side load ground rod driver is engineered to provide a secure grip without pinching to prevent rod gashes.
The SDS Max Side Load Ground Rod Driver is compatible with SDS Max demolition hammers with at least 17 ft-lbs (23 J) of impact energy in hammer-only mode. This solution drives ½”, 5/8”, and ¾” copper-cladded, galvanized, and stainless-steel ground rods. Backed by a 2-year limited warranty, Milwaukee’s new SDS Max Side Load Ground Rod Driver solution enhances safety and ensures consistent full depth driving while maintaining rod integrity.
Expanding on the Side Load Ground Driver, the 1-1/8” Hex Side Load Ground Rod Driver will also be available later in 2026, offering a solution for the MX FUEL™ Breaker and other 1-1/8” hex breakers.
