Crews have identified approximately 2,300 broken poles, and a section of a power system had to be rebuilt in the Minden area.

“The damage caused by the ice storm has been devastating, leaving lasting impacts on trees, infrastructure, and the communities we call home. Cleanup will continue long after power is restored, and some places may never look the same,” said Hydro One via LinkedIn.

To support the continued recovery Hydro One is introducing Ice Storm 2025: Recovery Grant.

Indigenous communities and municipalities directly impacted by the storm can apply for grants of up to $10,000 to aid in relief and rebuilding efforts. Applications open Monday, April 7.
