SaskPower Adds Nearly 17 MW of Renewable Power Through the Power Generation Partner Program

June 11, 2025

The Power Generation Partner Program (PGPP) launched in 2018 as a way for customers to generate power and sell it to SaskPower.

Offered over 3 years, the program provided a unique opportunity for businesses and individuals to develop power generation projects and contribute renewable electricity to the grid, primarily from solar.

Upon completion in 2025, PGPP will have implemented nearly 17 MW of renewable power to the provincial grid from 24 local generation projects.

Funded in part by the Government of Canada.
