CityWest Expands Fibre Internet to Cluculz Lake, BC

CityWest is expanding its fibre network to Cluculz Lake, bringing reliable, high-speed internet to the community.
Construction is now underway, marking another step in CityWest’s commitment to improving digital connectivity across rural and northern British Columbia. Once complete, residents will have access to fibre internet designed to support streaming, remote work, online learning, virtual healthcare, and the growing connectivity needs of everyday life.

Whether you’re working remotely from the cabin, checking in with family, or simply sharing the day’s adventures,” said Stefan Woloszyn, Chief Executive Officer of CityWest. “Reliable internet helps people stay connected without taking away from the experience. That’s exactly what we’re building in Cluculz Lake.”
As construction progresses, residents may notice CityWest crews working throughout the area. Every effort will be made to minimize disruption, and affected property owners will be contacted as work approaches their neighbourhood.

This project is supported by $1.8 million in funding from the Government of Canada through the Universal Broadband Fund and the Province of British Columbia through the Connecting British Columbia program. Additionally, more than $724,000 has been provided by the Government of British Columbia through the Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT).

The installation of fibre to the community of Cluculz Lake will facilitate reliable connections, allowing people to stay up-to-date with friends, family, learning, work and other aspects of their life while enjoying the benefits of rural living,” said Ben Campbell, chief executive officer, Northern Development.
