SaskPower is pleased to announce that the new Great Plains Power Station near Moose Jaw is fully operational.
Great Plains becomes the newest natural gas power station to be added to our system. It’s a combined cycle gas turbine facility with a generating capacity of 370 megawatts (MW). That’s equal to the amount needed to power up to 370,000 homes. With Great Plains added to our system, natural gas generation now represents 41% of our power supply mix.
