Recently, Klein Tools announced a new partnership with Altec, a major provider of products and services to the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, lights, signs and related contractor markets.
Through this partnership, Altec will become the exclusive master distributor in North America for Klein Tools’ Bucket Work Center (BWC).
“Through this new collaboration, we will be able to improve the safety and efficiency of all aerial workers,” stated Kurt Owen, Senior Vice President at Klein Tools. “Working with Altec is an exciting endeavor. Being able to bring together two iconic companies in the utility industry isn’t something that happens every day.”
Often referred to as the “lineman’s office,” the Klein Tools BWC converts an ordinary aerial bucket into an innovative, modular work system that is customizable to each worker’s unique needs. The BWC can retrofit to most existing aerial bucket trucks, and through this new partnership, the system can also be included on new truck orders. Available as 1-man, 1.5-man and 2-man utility buckets, the BWC provides users with the ability to mix and match modules to customize their workspace. Plus, all BWC accessories are compatible with Klein Tools’ MODbox Mobile Workstation.
In addition to exclusively offering the Klein Tools BWC, this partnership with Altec will also provide the two companies with opportunities to co-develop new products and innovations in the future. “Together, we aim to further improve the lives of our customers, providing them with state-of-the-art tools, safety equipment, and more,” added Tony Gaede, Managing Director at Altec Supply.
